In a ceremony held in Kiev at the Ucranian Academy of Science and Technology, Susana Marcos received the Doctor Honoris Causa Degree from the Ucranian Academy of Science and Technology, and a foreign membership of the Academy, with proud of following prestigeous predecesors in this honor, including Prof. Smirnov (first measurements of the aberrations of the eye, published in 1961) and Prof. Pallikaris (inventor of LASIK).
