Cone directionality from laser ray tracing in normal and LASIK patients
Laser Ray Tracing was used to measure cone directionality objectively. The study shows that in most cases the Stiles-Crawford effect peak (pupil location toward which the cones photoreceptors are pointing) does not change following LASIK, despite the large variations in optical quality across the pupil with the procedure. The study will be published in the Journal of Modern Optics (Stiles-Crawford effect special issue):
